Getting Rid of Back Acne, Pimples

When the pores and hair follicles on the back get clogged by excessive sebum that accumulates and mixes with dirt on the skin surface and then back acne occurs. This produces an environment for bacteria to thrive. The pores will become inflamed and swollen with pus as the bacteria multiplies. Even though your back is usually covered with a shirt or blouse, back acne are more painful than exposed facial acne. The fact is though that just like any other type of acne, back acne is curable.

First Thing Not To Do

Many people that suffer from back acne try to “pop” the pimples as soon as they notice them. Avoiding this is one of the first steps towards getting rid of acne because interfering with the pimples only serves to further irritate the skin.

Practice Proper Hygiene

Practicing proper hygiene is paramount to getting rid of bacne. Use a mild antibacterial soap when you shower. If you are an athlete or just work out a lot make sure to remove your gym clothes immediately after your workout in order to avoid accumulation of seat and dirt on your back skin. Do not scrub too hard; just wash the affected are gently. If you have long hair that rest on your back you should also wash it regularly or choose a hair style that will prevent the hair coming in contact with the pimples to help prevent worsening the acne condition.

Clothing Selections

To help with getting rid or bacne avoid wearing tight clothing around your back area. Opt for clothing that is considered a “breathable” material, such as clothing made from natural material, such as cotton. These clothes should bit loosely to allow air circulation so that sweat and oils on your back evaporate easily and your skin stays aerated. There will also be less friction on your skin which can worsen the acne. You will also want to avoid carrying a backpack until your back acne has cleared completely because a backpack will cause your back to seat more than normal.

Healthy Lifestyle

To get rid of your back acne then focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This means eat a balanced diet, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and get approximately 7 to 9 house of sleep. Vitamins that are crucial for the regeneration and healing of the skin are Vitamin A, C, D and E. Your diet should be high in these vitamins. Also, avoid eating junk foods and food high in trans-fat which are some of the number one culprits when it comes to acne on your body.
