Usually you will develop acne on your face. However, it may also develop on your chest and back. This happens for different reasons. One reason is poor hygiene. During bathing the back is often neglected and this can lead to accumulation of bacteria which will thrive especially when you sweat.
Other causes for acne include poor diet and stress. Actually, the major cause of acne in most people is a hormonal imbalance. It occurs mostly with expectant mothers and teenagers.
There are a number of ways to effectively get rid of back and chest acne. These methods are simple and you can see results in a short time period.
Drink 8 glasses of water daily
When you drink around 8 glasses of water a day you enable your body to efficiently get rid of toxins that accumulate around your pours which lead to break outs of acne. You will sweat more when you drink a lot of water and this will open up the pores on your skin for the toxins to be eliminated.
Exfoliation
When you shower, exfoliate properly and always remember to wash your back thoroughly. People tend to forget this part of their body. However, do not scrub to the point that you irritate your skin and worsen your condition. A person’s back sweats a lot especially if you are athletic or you carry a backpack a lot. So, be sure to wash your back well to get rid of any accumulated dirt.
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Wear loose clothing made of natural fabric such as cotton that can easily absorb your sweat and even allow for air circulation.
Balance Your Diet
Eat a balanced diet that is low in fat to help with getting rid of acne. Junk foods and foods that you are allergic to should not be eaten as these may be the cause of your acne. Junk food is often laden with fats and carbohydrates which may accumulate in your body and lead to overproduction of sebum which will clog your pores.
Deal With Any Stress and Get Sufficient Sleep
Get plenty of sleep and lower your stress levels. Try to get at least 6 hours, and preferably 8 hours, of sleep every night. In addition, eliminate the things that cause you to be stressed.
